Donovan Harrell is a multimedia journalist. He graduated with a degree in Journalism from Florida A&M University’s School of Journalism & Graphic Communication. A native of Daytona Beach, Florida, Donovan was an active┬áparticipant student media from his freshman year till the day he graduated, contributing to The Famuan, Journey Magazine, FAMU TV20 and WANM 90.5. He’s interned at The Daytona Beach News-Journal, CBS News in New York and POLITICO. Donovan enjoys writing about mental health, politics, criminal justice, policy issues, international relations, science and technology.

When Donovan isn’t covering soul-crushing hard news, he devours graphic novels, plays video games and binge watches T.V. shows and cartoons. His hobbies include cooking, improving his art, travelling (he’s studied abroad in Japan and spent spring break visiting South Africa and Dubai), photography and learning foreign languages. He is a hip-hop head who enjoys going to concerts and music festivals.
